The Red Caboose Café has been family owned and operated since day one. We first opened our doors on August 14, 1994 in a small storefront located at Bullard and Minnewawa in Clovis, CA.
Teresa had worked for The Iron Horse Restaurant as a server which was owned and operated by her sister Anita. In 1994 they partnered together along with Richard, and The Red Caboose Café was born. After a few short months Richard and Teresa took over full ownership of the restaurant.
The early days of the business was a struggle, but with the help of our son and daughter, Jimmy and Pam, and a small staff the business was able to slowly grow. Teresa worked seven days a week running the restaurant and Richard worked at the restaurant on weekends while commuting to San Francisco during the week doing construction work.
